People cruise for a variety of reasons, but relaxation is probably the most common goal. The grind of everyday routines can wear you down both physically and mentally. If you've been dreaming about the ideal cruise day, we've got you covered. Follow this perfect itinerary for the most relaxing cruise day ever.
? AM - 10 AM: Sleeping, sleeping, and sleeping some more.

There's no better way to kick-off a relaxing cruise day than sleeping until 10 a.m. You'll wake up well-rested and shake any of that travel fatigue still looming from your journey to the departure port. If you're the hibernating type, you can opt for a wake-up call or set your cabin's alarm to make sure you don't sleep through your entire day.
10 AM - 11 AM: Grabbing a healthy breakfast.
There's nothing relaxing about a rumbling stomach, so be sure to hit the breakfast bar after you wake to squash that hunger. Try to keep it healthy, but get enough to fill up. Fruits, oats, yogurt, eggs, and other breakfast staples are a great way to get your mind and body in the right place for a healthy and rejuvenating day. Indulging in pancakes and sausages may taste great, but an upset stomach could throw your relaxing day off the rails.
11 AM - 1 PM: Pampering yourself in the onboard spa.
No relaxing cruise day would be complete without at least a few spa treatments. We recommend starting off the onboard spa experience with a massage to get those muscles relaxed, loose, and prepared for a day of doing absolutely nothing.

Once you've reached a state of Zen, consider getting some sort of cosmetic treatment such as a nutrient-rich facial or mani-pedi combination (don't be shy guys!). Top it all off by spending a few minutes in the steam room or sauna to really give your body a chance to breathe and release any toxins.

Although most cruises allow free entrance into their spas, treatments typically cost extra. So be sure to check the prices and book ahead of time to secure your spots.

1 PM - 4 PM: Napping, snacking, and sun-bathing poolside.
After milking the spa for all it's worth, you'll probably need a refreshing dip in the pool to cool off. If you didn't get quite enough relaxation though, the hot tubs are always an option abovedeck. Make sure you secure a few lounge chairs so you can spend a few hours poolside without having to move. At this time, you might want to grab a light snack to hold yourself over until dinner - or even a drink (it's 5 o'clock back at home, right?). If you're having trouble keeping your eyes open, allow yourself to slip into the perfect nap as the sun warms your skin.
4 PM - 5 PM: Freshen up in your cabin.
Before heading to dinner, you might want to take an hour or so to freshen up in your cabin. Take a shower to warm up and to rinse off all of the oils, creams, and sunscreen placed on your skin throughout the day. Put on something somewhat formal yet still comfortable for the rest of the evening. If you're quick in the shower, you might even have enough time to chill in your robe while catching up on some of your favorite TV shows.

5 PM - 7 PM: Satisfying your dinner cravings.
After a day of saunas, exfoliations, and hours in the sun, you might feel a little depleted. Once dinner time rolls around, head to that restaurant you've been eyeing for the past few days. You've already had a healthy breakfast and light snack, so don't be afraid to satisfy those cravings. Buffet options are always a good choice. Don't skimp out on dessert either. You deserve it after such a tough day.
7 PM - 8 PM: Enjoying some onboard entertainment.
After dinner and before hitting the bar, give your food some time to digest by catching an onboard show. Most cruises offer a wide variety of entertainment, including live bands, movies, plays, comedy acts, and more. Check that evening's schedule to see what your cruise is offering. Make sure it's not too active, though. You wouldn't want to ruin a perfectly good streak of relaxation.
8 PM - ? PM: Letting loose in the bars.
If you can still keep those eyes open after such a relaxing day, consider heading to the bars for a nightcap. Think of it as the cherry on top of the easiest day you'll ever experience at sea.
